NaNoWriMo is short for National Novel Writers Month. It is an organized, joint personal challenge among aspiring writers to produce a 50,000 word novel in one insane, carpal tunnel inducing month.

Between midnight November 1st and midnight November 30th we are to ply our craft with the tried and true B.I.C. (butt in chair) method of writing. No excuses. No procrastination. Words on paper, period.

I’ve decided on a sequel to Kieron in Darkness. Oh with the help of Anzia (thanks Z) and the girls from Ms.Gypsy’s blog I have finally settled on a name: Prometheus Rising Book 1: Forged by Darkness and the new book is Prometheus Rising Book 2: Tempered by Fire

A quick synopsis:

Three hundred-year-old vampire Kieron Maher defeated his creator and nemesis, the dark wizard Nickolai Danesti. He somehow survived near immolation by the sun, only to find that his sacrifice did not save his soul mate, Monica. In fact she died her throat ripped out by his own fangs while his body was possessed by the evil sorcerer.

Now Kieron’s picture his being splashed all over the evening news. He is wanted for the most vicious vampire-style homicide ever to occur in Northeast Ohio, and the authorities have samples of his DNA to prove he did it.

Kieron flees, using his powers to elude the human authorities, but can he elude the vampire authorities that he never even knew existed as well? Not only do they want to guarantee his silence, they want him to return the immortal blood that his maker stole from them to create him 300 years ago.
